The InstaHiiT HR Zones Stack dashboard offers comprehensive metrics derived from your Apple Health workouts. Designed specifically for High Intensity Interval Training (HiiT), this application allows users to create and monitor their workouts in real-time directly from an Apple Watch.
InstaHiiT integrates seamlessly with the Apple Health app, enabling the display and storage of workout metrics with user consent. Importantly, the data collected remains secure within the Apple ecosystem—it is neither shared nor transmitted externally.
Each workout logged through InstaHiiT contributes to the completion of your Fitness Activity rings, emphasizing its role in fostering a more active lifestyle.
- InstaHiiT METRICS:
- Peak: The highest heart rate measured during the workout and corresponding intensity percentage.
- Max HR: Your maximum calculated heart rate based on age or a custom setting, with subsequent percentage calculations derived from this value.
- HR Graph: A dynamic graphical representation of heart rate during the workout, updated in real-time. It includes reference intervals marked every 10 minutes and highlights intervals created via the Timer Menu.
- IMins (Intensity Minutes): Indicates the duration spent in high-intensity zones 3 to 5.
IPHONE APP:
- Screen Actions:
- PULL-to-REFRESH updates the workout list.
- TAP on workout rows to access BPM graphics and interval details; tap again to hide this information.
- SWIPE to display interval stack graphics.
- Heart / %: Toggle between BPM (Beats per Minute) and zone percentage data.
- Menu Options:
- Compare Mode: Allows selection and comparison of multiple workouts stacked for analysis.
- Hide Intervals: Toggle the visibility of interval workout rows beneath the intensity graph.
- Your HR Zones: Displays color-coded HR Zone legend and permits setting a maximum heart rate based on athletic age.
APPLE WATCH:
- Screen Actions:
- DOUBLE TAP to access the Timers menu for interval creation.
- SWIPE Left/Right to navigate between Options, Intervals, and Music screens.
- TAP on Peak (Pk) or Average (Av) to toggle between these metrics.
- InstaHiiT+ Max HR Screen:
- Customize your maximum heart rate according to your fitness level prior to beginning a workout, syncing automatically with the InstaHiiT+ iPhone App.
- InstaHiiT+ Alerts Screen:
- Create alerts for low-intensity heart rates that dip below your desired threshold.
- A gentle vibration notification when entering Red Intensity Zone 5 during workouts.
An upgrade to InstaHiiT+ unlocks several advanced features, including:
- The ability to review and compare the entire history of workouts via the iPhone app.
- Customization options for maximum heart rate settings based on athletic age.
- A full suite of Apple Watch features, such as customized timers and alerts, enabling a tailored workout experience.
NOTES:
- An Apple Watch paired with an iPhone using the Apple Health app is required for optimal functionality of InstaHiiT.
- This application is not a substitute for professional healthcare advice. It is advisable to consult with a doctor regarding individual maximum heart rate and personal workout intensity thresholds.
- The app aims to reflect real-time workout intensity during HIIT sessions at the gym. An example HIIT workout may consist of five dumbbell or body-weight exercises performed consecutively in three sets, with one-minute rest periods between each set.
